Boosters Association
Reedsport, Oregon
Established 1967
Across the nation, school budgets continue to be tight.  Among the first programs to be affected
are extra-curricular activities and athletics.
One of the core beliefs among Braves Boosters supporters is that extra-curricular athletics and
activities are a crucial part of a well-rounded education.
In 2013-2014, donations of time and money by Boosters Association supporters made the
following possible:
At school...
  • Purchases of Training and Game-day Equipment
  • “Meet the Braves” Night
  • Assistance with Admission Gate Cash Handling
  • Scoreboard Maintenance at Thompson Court, Barrone Field and Ruppe Baseball Field
  • Inventory Tracking for Concessions Operations
  • 24th Reedsport Invitational Volleyball Tournament
  • 42nd Dune Country Classic Basketball Tournament
  • Grounds-keeping Assistance at Ruppe and Barrone Fields
  • Annual Athletics Awards Night, including Purchase of Plaques and Trophies

In our community...
  • Annual Benefit Dinner & Auction Event for Reedsport Athletics
  • Funding for Junior Golf programs at Forest Hills Country Club
  • Timing and Administrative Assistance for LUH Foundation 5K Run
  • Sponsorship of REEF/Tom Huebner Memorial Golf Tournament
  • Coordination of Bill Humphreys Memorial Golf Tournament
  • Donation to Great Afternoons/Oregon Coast Community Action
In June 2014, the Braves
Boosters awarded a new,
portable, driveway basketball
backboard system to Highland
Elementary student Hailie

Hailie was selected by
Highland school staff to
receive the award, based on
her excellent attendance and
academic record this year, as
well as her outstanding
citizenship within the school

Congratulations, Hailie, and
job well done!  Enjoy your
basketball hoop with friends
this summer!
